Fashion Meets Sustainability
New for 2026: Dunmanway Show Launches Sustainable Style Competition
The Dunmanway Agricultural Show is delighted to announce the launch of a brand-new event for 2026 – the Sustainable Style Competition.
This exciting new competition celebrates the growing movement towards sustainable fashion and encourages people of all ages to showcase their creativity by wearing outfits that are pre-loved, vintage, borrowed, upcycled or creatively re-styled.
In recent years, the fashion industry has become one of the world's largest contributors to waste, with millions of garments ending up in landfill every year. Choosing to wear clothes for longer, shopping second-hand, repairing or reimagining existing garments are simple yet powerful ways we can all help reduce our environmental impact.
The Sustainable Style Competition aims to inspire visitors to think differently about fashion while celebrating individuality, creativity and personal style. Whether your outfit comes from a charity shop, a vintage collection, a family wardrobe, or has been transformed through upcycling, every look has a story to tell.
The competition is open to all ages and is completely free to enter. Participants can register online before the show or simply sign up on the day.
We hope this new competition will become a popular feature of the Dunmanway Show, bringing together fashion, creativity and sustainability in a fun and inclusive way.
